SIA Jaunmoku pils

General matters

In the processing of personal data, the controller SIA Jaunmoku pils (hereinafter “Jaunmoku Castle”) complies with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation No. 2016/679 (hereinafter “Regulation”) and other laws applicable in Latvia.

This Privacy Policy explains how Jaunmoku Castle processes personal data of individuals, the procedure for exercising data subject rights, and matters relating to the protection of personal data. This Privacy Policy applies to all personal data processing by Jaunmoku Castle.

 

The purposes and legal grounds of personal data processing

The purposes of personal data processing by Jaunmoku Castle are related to its functions. Jaunmoku Castle shall process personal data for the following purposes:

  • drafting, signing and administering contracts
  • recruiting and managing personnel
  • ensuring efficient management process of the company
  • planning business and performing analysis
  • informing the public on its activities
  • reviewing and processing applications
  • sending out newsletters
  • providing services
  • providing information to government authorities and bodies performing operational activities in the cases and scope prescribed by law
  • carrying out video surveillance for the security of Jaunmoku Castle’s property and people: to protect the property of Jaunmoku Castle and third parties located within the premises (office) and territory of the complex, ensure the security of people, prevent and record potential criminal offences, and monitor the process and quality of service. Video surveillance data are stored for up to 30 days. At the end of this period, Jaunmoku Castle ensures automatic deletion of all data, unless the data have been previously requested or criminal offences or other security breaches have been discovered. If the data have been previously requested by competent government or municipal authorities or any security breaches have been discovered, the data is stored as necessary.
  • for other specific purposes that the customer shall be informed of when disclosing the respective data to Jaunmoku Castle

 

Jaunmoku Castle shall process personal data on the following legal grounds:

  • complying with a legal obligation prescribed by law
  • pursuing a legitimate interest
  • signing or implementing a contract
  • data subject’s consent

During events organised by Jaunmoku Castle, photos might be taken or videos might be recorded at Jaunmoku Castle’s objects for the purpose of informing the public and building the historical archive of Jaunmoku Castle.

 

Personal data storage period

Jaunmoku Castle shall store the personal data in accordance with the defined purposes of personal data processing and legal requirements for as long as at least one of the following is true:

  • Jaunmoku Castle may pursue its legitimate interests in the procedure prescribed by law
  • Jaunmoku Castle has a legal obligation to store data
  • if there are no other legal grounds for personal data processing, there is valid data subject’s consent to the respective personal data processing

 

Cookies

Cookies are text files that are stored on the website user’s computer to improve the website’s performance. The stored cookies allow us to recognise the user’s computer. When returning to the Jaunmoku Castle’s website and visiting password-protected sections of the website, cookies make sure you don’t have to enter your data again.

Why Jaunmoku Castle uses cookies

Jaunmoku Castle uses cookies for the following purposes:

  • managing sessions and authenticating users
  • ensuring the website’s functionality
  • collecting statistical data about the website’s traffic, such as the number of visitors and time spent on the website
  • improving the efficiency of the website

The server hosting the Jaunmoku Castle’s website registers requests sent by the website’s visitors (the web addresses opened, the device and browser used, IP address, access time). This data is used for technical purposes only: to ensure proper functioning and security of the website. The legal grounds for processing this personal data is the legitimate interest of Jaunmoku Castle.

Jaunmoku Castle does not use cookies to track users’ habits, which is why Jaunmoku Castle informs of the use of cookies but does not seek the data subject’s consent for saving cookies, as prescribed by law.

 

Third party cookies

The Jaunmoku Castle’s website may contain third party cookies, especially Google Analytics.

The Google Analytics tool is operated by Google Inc. (an American company) that has access to the statistical data collected by this tool. Google Inc. has joined the EU–U.S. Privacy Shield Framework that acknowledges that the service provider complies with the privacy standards applicable in the EU. This service provider is also bound by contractual obligations in regard to ensuring privacy.

Controlling cookies

The data subject may delete cookies upon choice (more information: www.AboutCookies.org and/or www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/).

As the data subject, you may delete all cookies stored on your computer, as well as to disable cookies in your browser. However, in this case you will have to manually specify your choice every time you visit the website, and some services and website functions may stop working.

Recipients of personal data

In the cases prescribed by law, Jaunmoku Castle may disclose information to third parties. Jaunmoku Castle may also turn to outsourcing to ensure more efficient implementation of its functions.

Personal data shall not be transferred to third countries.

Commercial communications

Jaunmoku Castle sends commercial communications regarding the services provided by Jaunmoku Castle and/or third parties and other communications unrelated to the provision of the directly contracted services (such as customer surveys) based on the procedure prescribed by law or the customer’s consent.

The customer may give consent to receive commercial communications from Jaunmoku Castle and/or its cooperation partners on the Jaunmoku Castle’s and other websites (such as newsletter subscription forms) or in the form of a separate document.

The customer’s consent to receive commercial communications is valid until it is withdrawn (even after the contract expires). The customer may withdraw from receiving further commercial communications at any time in one of these ways:

  • by submitting a written request to SIA Jaunmoku pils, Tumes pagasts, Tukuma novads, LV-3139, Latvia, in person with an identity document;
  • by sending a request signed with a secure electronic signature to the e-mail address birojs@jaunmokupils.lv;
  • by using the included automated option to withdraw from receiving further commercial communications, such as clicking on the unsubscribe button at the bottom of the respective commercial communication (e-mail).

Jaunmoku Castle shall stop sending commercial communications as soon as it will process the customer’s withdrawal from receiving such communications.

Access to personal data and other rights of the data subject

The data subject may receive information on the personal data processed by Jaunmoku Castle regarding the data subject:

  • by submitting a written request to SIA Jaunmoku pils, Tumes pagasts, Tukuma novads, LV-3139, Latvia, in person with an identity document;
  • by sending a request signed with a secure electronic signature to the e-mail address birojs@jaunmokupils.lv.

The data subject has the right to request restriction of the processing of personal data (or object to such processing), erasure of personal data or rectification of personal data in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation.

Jaunmoku Castle communicates with the data subject by using the contact information specified by the data subject (phone number, e-mail address, address).

If the data subject feels that his/her data subject rights regarding personal data protection have been violated, the data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Right to withdraw consent

If personal data processing is commenced and carried out based on the data subject’s consent, the data subject has the right to withdraw it by submitting a written request to SIA Jaunmoku pils, Tumes pagasts, Tukuma novads, LV-3139, Latvia, in person with an identity document or by sending a request signed with a secure electronic signature to the e-mail address birojs@jaunmokupils.lv.

The withdrawal of consent does not apply to the data processing carried out while the data subject’s consent was still valid.

The personal data processing based on other legal grounds shall not be stopped if the consent is withdrawn.

Changes in the Privacy Policy

Jaunmoku Castle reserves the right to make changes in this Privacy Policy at any time by publishing such changes on the website www.jaunmokupils.lv.
