From May 2 to July 31, the Tower Hall of Jaunmokas Palace will host a painting exhibition by the renowned Latvian landscape artist Aleksejs Naumovs titled “Colorful Stories from World Landscapes.”
For over 30 years, Naumovs has explored the diversity of global landscapes through his distinctive, expressive, and dynamic artistic style. His works are known for their emotional resonance, bold use of color contrasts, and vivid individuality that immerse the viewer in the atmosphere of a specific place and moment.
The exhibition features scenes ranging from the serene Latvian countryside to the vibrant Burano Island in Venice, from the sunlit southern coast of France to the historic charm of Perpignan. Painted en plein air using the alla prima technique, these compositions reflect a Fauvist-inspired color intensity and invite viewers to experience the unique spirit of each location.
The exhibition is open Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and can be visited as part of a tour of the Jaunmokas Palace Museum.
